Best Strains for a Grand Lake Weekend

Colcord is a lake town with a highway running through it. Half our counter is Delaware County regulars, half is Arkansas patients coming west on 412 for the weekend. Here's what each group tends to walk out with.

Lake day: bright, light, and not too much

Daytime on Grand Lake calls for sativa-leaning flower and low-dose formats. Blue Dream, Green Crack and lighter hybrids are the usual picks. Pre-rolls travel better than a jar and a grinder, and low-dose gummies (2.5–5 mg) are easy to pace across an afternoon.

Heat matters out here. Don't leave flower or gummies baking in a truck cab — the potency holds up better in a cooler bag, and melted edibles dose unevenly.

Cabin night: heavier flower and concentrates

Once the boat's out of the water, the picks change — Wedding Cake, Granddaddy Purple, GG4, and for the experienced crowd, live resin and rosin. If you've never dabbed, start with a rice-grain amount and one hit. Concentrates are several times stronger than flower and the mistake people make is treating them the same.

Coming from Siloam Springs or Northwest Arkansas

We're about fifteen minutes from Siloam Springs and under an hour from Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville. You'll need an OMMA temporary patient license along with your home-state card before you can buy — apply first, then make the drive.

Buy for after the trip home, keep it sealed in the vehicle, and don't cross back into Arkansas with product. Oklahoma medicine is legal in Oklahoma.

Ask for the deal, use the drive-thru

Prices in the online cart don't include in-store specials or the loyalty program, so the window price is often lower than the number you reserved at. Reserve ahead on the Colcord menu, pull up to the drive-thru, and we'll have it bagged.
