Afghani Strain
The resin-heavy landrace sitting upstream of half the indica shelf.
Afghani is a indica strain from Afghan landrace, typically testing 15–20% THC and <1% CBD. It leans myrcene and caryophyllene on the terpene side, smells like sweet earth, incense, faint citrus behind it, and most patients describe it as deep relaxation, body heaviness, calm. It's a evening strain that people reach for evening, rest, appetite — ask for it at RedBilly in Colcord or Roland, Oklahoma.

Afghani is a foundation cultivar. Trace back most of the indica-leaning genetics on any Oklahoma shelf and you eventually land here, which is why it is worth knowing on its own terms.
The plant is famously resinous, and that shows up in the flower: sticky, dense, and hard on a grinder if it has not been cured dry.
Effects are unfussy. Deep relaxation, warmth through the body, and an appetite bump that patients either want or specifically do not — worth deciding before you buy.
The nose is sweet earth and incense with a faint citrus lift that most people miss until it is pointed out.
Potency sits in the mid-teens to low twenties. That is on purpose here; nobody grows Afghani chasing a THC number, they grow it for the resin and the effect shape.
We put it in front of patients who found the modern gas strains too sharp and want something rounder and older.

Afghani questions we get
Is Afghani indica or sativa?
Indica. It is one of the original landrace indicas and the parent stock behind many modern crosses.
How strong is Afghani?
Published testing typically lands in the 15–20% THC range.
What makes Afghani different from Hindu Kush?
They are related landraces. Afghani reads sweeter and more resinous; Hindu Kush leans drier and more sandalwood.
When should I use Afghani?
Evening. The body weight and appetite bump both arrive within the first half hour.
Strains rotate with what our growers bring in. Check today's live menu to see if Afghani — or something close to it — is on the shelf right now.
